Previewed at the 124th AES Convention in Amsterdam, the SurCode for Dolby E Decoder, for Pro Tools (Mac/PC) and Minnetonka AudioTools AWE (Mac), is a software-only plug-in that decodes Dolby E files back to discrete PCM. The Pro Tools plug-in allows the integrated access to Dolby E files from within the workstation while the AudioTools AWE plug-in has been designed to automate this workflow and offload from the DAW. Both plug-ins are included in every SurCode for Dolby E Decoder license.

Minnetonka Audio Software will also be demonstrating the shipping version of Dolby Media Meter plug-in for AudioTools AWE. This software-only, faster than real-time plug-in designed to eliminate the annoying differences in loudness and dialogue between programs, commercials or channels. Continuing the success of the highly acclaimed Dolby LM100 Broadcast Loudness Meter, Dolby Media Meter includes Dialogue Intelligence - the revolutionary algorithm for analyzing and controlling input signal only during the presence of speech. Dolby Media Meter plug-in for AudioTools AWE is now shipping and available as a plug-in directly from Dolby.

New product bundles will also be on display as SONAR user will now have the option to surround sound encode with SurCode for Dolby Digital or SurCode for Pro Logic II without having to leave the SONAR DAW. Appearing directly in the application export menu, this step will automatically launch and populate the SurCode user interfaces with the selected audio files from a surround sound session. Seamless integration creates an end-to-end surround sound production environment from within SONAR. Cakewalk will first make these SurCode products available to qualified users as a download and will include the encoders as part of the application installer in the next future release.
